Rakaposhi Valley is located between Nagar and Bagrot Valley which is part of Gilgit Baltistan region.
The mountain is extremely wide, measuring about 20 km from east to west. It is the only peak on earth that is 6,000 meters direct and uninterrupted from its summit to base. Rakapushi is notable for its unusual rise in local areas. In the north, It is only 11.2 km (7 mi) from the Hunza River.
It rises to 5,900 meters (19,357 ft) in horizontal distance. There are views of Rakaposhi from
the Karakoram Highway via Nagar.
